Kaylah is a breath of fresh air to say the least in our lives. God sent her here to us with a sure fire plan and mission. You see 2 weeks before we found out about her I was laid off from what was then my full time job (you know up early fight the traffic punch the clock sit in a cubical full time job)

Lets back up some to November 2009, when I found out we were expecting I was filled with emotions; scared, happy, scared, surprised, scared, thrilled, scared, excited, scared anxious did I say scared? But then I had to remember what the bible says and what I try so hard to teach my oldest 2 children.

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.
Deuteronomy 31:6

After I re-gained my composure I thanked God (then took 2 more test, then laughed, cried and called my bff) We giggled like we were in the 7th grade all over again. Blushing and laughing the entire time we started plotting on ideas of how to tell daddy. You see Miss K is his FIRST baby (that so equals the recipe for a spoiled kid…first grand-baby and Nana’s bo-bo can you say TROUBLE) So how I told him had to be good. We first came up with placing a note in a pot that read “we’ve got something bakin” but that didn’t work out so instead I wrote on my stomach “HI DADDY” so he could read it. It took him a bit to really get it and then it hit him….that look in his eyes….the smile that we haven’t been able to remove from his proud face!

Maya and Isaiah have been my life. My joys. I had them early (in my 20′s) back to back (they are 15 1/2 months apart) those 2 have kept my life so full. But I always knew something was missing that I had more room in my heart for another child I just didn’t think it would ever happen.

About 7 years ago I had a very large ovarian cyst removed that was so big they had to remove my ovary as well. So I’m working with only one. AND when I had my son I had complications that almost took me out of this world (prayer is a powerful thing I’m telling you) so I truly just didn’t think it was ever going to happen again, but I was wrong and so so happy I was.

Kaylah my dear, my 3rd child. The ones who’s hugs I adore, who’s smell is yummy, the one that laughs at her big brother ever time she looks at him, the one that coo’s for her big sister and chats with her, the one who has an amazing bond with her father, my answered prayer, my big eyed girl, you are our princess you keep us on our toes, our sugar and spice for sure.

We have mini sessions all the time because I know all to well how fast this time will go by. The other day we were playing in the floor and enjoying the afternoon when mommy remember I didn’t do our monthly scarf images so off we go to the master bedroom where the light is simply divine. It’s been many years coming and I can’t tell you how blessed and full I now feel because of you. These images that we created tell and show me that. I love you more than you will ever be able to know. I found this poem that reminds me of you.
