About a week ago we had the same stunning weather!

So some of you got to see this….

I made this years ago in Sunday School with my Grandma! She kept it in her living room on a shelf until the day I took it with me (with my dads permission). She was *very* ill and in the hospital, she was not going to return to her home. My Sunday School project sat next to this picture of me


Among those two things I also got to keep some of her handwritten recipes, cookbook and her apron. (Cookbook printing date says 1945)

Her apron……sigh she wore this while cooking & baking ALL the time (one of them anyway) this one still has a knot in it.

Every once in awhile I pull these things out and look at them. I did that recently after making or attempting to make her famous Applesauce that we all renamed Lincoln Food.

What do you do when your best friend is a world away from you and she has a baby…..
SKYPE….AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!
Then plan a trip back to the states to visit with them AND book a photography session to capture some of your time together!

My bff is just in Delaware which is far enough but I can’t imagine being further away from her. Thanks for doing the “state-to-state” drive to see me ladies! I had a blast!

Latte’s are one of my fall favorites! There is nothing like getting that hot cup in your hands and tasting that creamy yummy-ness! I was talking to my friend about how I found this great recipe for the pumpkin spice syrup and she tells me that she has a great one for the ENTIRE latte! I can’t wait to try hers but for now since her recipe makes a pretty big batch I’m using this syrup! It’s a must try 100% Yummy Goodness here!
PS NO sugar needed just milk or cream and I think next time I’ll lower the amount of cinnamon so that it taste more pumpkin-ish

Another family that made an hour plus drive to see me…..I’m so grateful. They are so beautiful and their little one EEK I just wanted to kiss her all over. She reminded me SO much of my ladybug!

The only thing I did different was add fresh strawberries! Happy Baking! And Happy Halloween OH yeah how cute would these be with orange food coloring! LIGHT bulb moment! Too bad I’m not eating this stuff right now!
